Working with modern techniques and materials, Fold-Up recreated at 1:1 scale, the adjacent Georgian property No.15 Norfolk Street at a time when the historic Sunniside area is being transformed by a £130m regeneration programme. Curated by Grit & Pearl and commissioned by Sunderland City Council, artist Wolfgang Weileder worked with apprentice builders and local construction company r.Bau Ltd to create the structure in just 10 days.
